There are few subjects talked about as much as the weather. Is that so strange, when the weather is so changeable?
Many things in our daily life depend on the weather. The weather forecasts are made up of information on temperature, wind and rainfall which all go together to make up the weather. Weather has a local and temporary character. In our country, it can be sunny in one place, while it is raining 10 km away. The atmosphere around the Earth is transformed into an enormous weather machine. The sun's heat warms the air and the Earth. Because of this a lot of water evaporates from streams, lakes, rivers and seas during the summer. At the equator, it is much warmer than at the poles. Above us the air moves; hot air expands and rises: cold descends. For those who study the weather, the condition of any particular day is not important. What is important is adding that information to data collected over thirty years. Climate is thus an average weather record for a particular area over thirty years. On Earth, different climates have their own characteristics. Many things are involved: the position of the area, its proximity or distance from the sea, the prevailing wind direction, height above sea level, and so on.
